Aw! Professional surfer Bethany Hamilton welcomed her first child with husband Adam Dirks on June 1. Hamilton, who lost her arm in a 2003 shark attack, shared the happy news with followers on Instagram on Monday, June 15.
“Blessed to welcome our son, Tobias, into the world. Born June 1st, 7.9 lbs. and 21" Long. He is named after his great grandpa Tobias meaning 'The goodness of God.' Adam and I so in love with our lil guy and are stoked to share life with him! #stokedmomma Photo: @TimmyHamilton,” the first-time mom captioned a gorgeous family photo of herself with Dirks and little Tobias.
The couple, who said “I do” in August 2013, announced they were expecting a baby boy this past February. “We have a little surprise for you...baby on board!" the 25-year-old revealed in a video posted to her website. “She’s pregnant!” Dirks added.
“We're starting to feel ready for this lil boy to enter the world! Ready or not parenthood here we come,” the new mom, who surfed up until her belly was too big, captioned a bikini bump photo last month.
