You're invited... to Mary-Kate and Ashley's Summer Olympics-themed Hamptons birthday party! The twins, who famously spent their early years inviting fans to their Hawaiian Beach Party, Sleepover Party, and Mall Party, dusted off their invitations for an amazing shared 29th birthday party in the Hamptons this past weekend, complete with a theme.
The child actresses-turned-fashion designers, who turned 29 on Saturday, June 13, celebrated their birthday at the vacation destination with a day of fun and activities. Complete with an Instagram hashtag of #OlsenOlympics, the fête split party guests into two teams: Team Mary-Kate and Team Ashley.
The teams and their famous leaders competed in a variety of games including races and a dunk tank. Guests wore their allegiances on their sleeves, sporting the official shirts for the party -- either a red T-shirt with "TEAM Mary-Kate" in blue-and-white lettering, or a blue T-shirt with "TEAM Ashley" in red-and-white lettering.
Attendees, including celebrity real estate broker Jared Seligman, magazine journalist Yale Breslin, and makeup maven Alexis Page, took to Instagram to share sweet shots of the Full House alums and their festive soirée. The Row designers, who largely stay off of social media, look happy and healthy in the photos from their special day.
One shot from Seligman implied that Ashley and her supporters came out on top, winning the day's competitions over Team Mary-Kate. The real estate agent posted a photo of himself with Mary-Kate, captioning the image, "Happy Birthday my beautiful MK. You will always be a winner in my book.. Except today #olsenolympics #werenumber1."
The Olsens found themselves back in the headlines for their recently abandoned acting careers this spring, following Netflix's announcement that the streaming service is developing a Full House spinoff, Fuller House. Though the Olsens toyed with the idea of reviving their role of Michelle Tanner, Fuller House's executive producer confirmed last month that the twins will not reunite with their sitcom stars.
While Mary-Kate and Ashley aren't turning back to the jobs that made them famous, the blonde fashion plates are seeing huge success with their second careers. Just one week after it was announced that they would not be joining Fuller House, the sisters won big at the Council of the Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards, taking home the honor of Womenswear Designer of the Year Award for The Row.
